I’m far from an expert, but for an individual, I think the standard tactics are to first isolate the cult member from the leader, then an intervention and then some form of forced “reprogramming”. For the masses, maybe it goes in reverse, beginning with reprogramming of Fox News. I don’t know. But I think there’s a larger topic behind all of this about how the incentive for truthfulness has been disconnected from and overwhelmed by the incentives for power and money.
